Great Yorkshire Bike Ride - 5th June 2010
Home
The Great Yorkshire Bike Ride is an annual organised event which raises money for a variety of charities. Around 2,000 people take part and the route covers 72 miles from Wetherby Race Course to Filey.Taking part was a last minute decision, having been offered the chance to ride in someone else's place. Consequently there was no time to train and I viewed this as a great test of general fitness in preparation for the big swim later this year.
I'm pleased to say that Clive and I both made it - although I was probably a lot worse for wear than he was!
